Job Description: Article Writers Wanted
We are seeking a talented and passionate Article Writer to join our team on a contract basis. As an Article Writer, you will be responsible for researching, conceptualizing, and crafting compelling articles that cover a variety of current affairs topics. You will have the opportunity to contribute to shaping public discourse and providing our audience with valuable insights into pressing issues.
Responsibilities:
- Researching and staying up-to-date on current affairs topics across various domains, including politics, entertainment, economics, social issues, technology, and more.
- Generating ideas for engaging and timely articles that resonate with our audience.
- Writing high-quality articles that are well-researched, informative, and thought-provoking.
- Collaborating with editors and other team members to ensure articles meet editorial standards and align with ONPoint News’ mission and values.
- Meeting deadlines and delivering articles according to the established publishing schedule.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or related field (recent graduates preferred).
- Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Passion for current affairs and a desire to contribute to meaningful discussions.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent research skills and the ability to gather information from diverse sources.
- Proficiency in digital publishing tools and platforms is a plus.
