Chama ni UDA, Form ni Hustler, Waiguru Speaks After Joining UDA

Kirinyaga Governor, Ann Waiguru has decamped to DP Ruto’s UDA party on Tuesday 26th October.

She joins the hustler party from the ruling Jubilee party. Waiguru was accompanied by some of her MCAs as they were unveiled at DP’s Karen home.

She proudly announced this on her official Facebook page, saying the decision was reached after extensive with the Kirinyaga people.

“After extensive consultation with the Kirinyaga people, I have officially decamped to the hustler nation,’ she wrote.

The quest for the mountain

The move by Waiguru to join UDA comes just a week after ODM leader Raila Odinga held a rally in the county. In what has been termed as climbing the mountain, Raila was seen to be making great strides that might have influenced the decision from the county boss.

Governor Ann Waiguru now says she is ready to work with other leaders in the party.

“As a team, we will walk United so as to achieve development and growth for our people through the bottom-up economic model,” her post added.

Also, the governor also thanked the UDA party leader, DP Dr William Ruto and other senior members of the party for welcoming her to the Hustler Movement.

“Thank you H.E Deputy President, Willam S. Ruto, Hon. Murkormen, Hon. Susan Kihika, Hon. Aisha Jumwa, Hon. Kimani Ichungwa, Hon. Rigathi Gachagua, Hon G. Kariuki and all the leaders for the warm welcome,’ she said.

As 2022 approaches, Kenyan politics continue to shape up. Raila Odinga and DP Ruto are undoubtedly the main contestants and their quest for the mountain is very clear. There have been rumours that ODM leader Raila Odinga might consider Hon Martha Karua as his running mate in the next elections.

“2022 Chama ni UDA, Form ni Hustler, Mpango ni BottomUp!” Ann Waiguru stated.
