Moving to Villa Was a Step-UP-Former Arsenal Goalkeeper Martinez

Former Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has torn down his former club after a resounding victory over his former employer and teammates on the eve of game week 8.

“Everyone thinks its a step down going from Arsenal to Villa, but I actually think its a step up in my career,” Martinez said, on his move to Aston Villa (Via Sky Sports).

Emiliano moved from Arsenal to Villa in the summer transfer of last season after Arsenal signed Alex Runarsson from Ligue 1 side, Dijon FC. Runarsson is now their second choice in the sticks after German’s Benard Leno.

A brace from Oliver Watkins and a goal from Trezeguet secured Aston Villa 3 important points. English midfielder, Jack Grealish put in a nice show as he registred his 4th assist of the season.
