Early Life and Education
She is the firstborn to an administrator father and a politician mother. She ran away from home at 14 and eloped with her boyfriend who was still in high school. They had 4 children together, one succumbed to illness at a young age. Things went sour and the two separated in 2000 when his husband, became well off and left her for another woman.
After splitting from her husband, she joined her brother in Mombasa who was involved in the taxi business. They would drive the taxi in turns and spend the little she got on her young family.
