Kenya’s under-20 football ace, Aldrine Kibet was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) in the just-concluded Valladolid International tournament. This was after he scored 6 goals and provided 3 assists becoming the tournament’s top scorer.

Kibet plays for Nastic Sports Academy which was a participant in the tournament. They ended the competition as the winners with Kibet being their main man.

The young footballer could not hide his joy as he went to his social media pages to celebrate. In a post on his official Facebook page, he wrote the following;

“Topscorer and MVP of Valladolid International Cup in Madrid, 6 goals 3 assists, Hungry for more,” his post read in part.

The Valladolid International Cup is a competition that brings together teams (mostly academies) to promote cultural exchange between players from around the world.

This was the II edition of the competition and was played at the Campos Anexos al Estadio Jose Zorrilla stadium.

The tournament had six teams participating: Kibet’s Nastic Sports Academy, Palencia Football Academy, Milan Academy, Gabia Academy, and CD Burgos.

Nastic Sports Academy emerged winners of the competition having played three matches. They received several congratulations for their outstanding performance including from the organizing team.

“We finish the II edition of the #ValladoidInternationalCup with @Nasticsportsacademy as the winners of the tournament. Congratulations on your well-deserved victory,” their Facebook post reads.

Aldrine Kibet’s masterclass didn’t go unnoticed as well and fans flocked to their social media pages with congratulatory messages.

Sports journalist, Caroll Radul was among the first people to congratulate the upcoming star. Other Kenyans followed suit with everyone coming out to be counted.

Kibet joined Nastic Sports Academy in December 2023 after a successful spell at St Antony Kitale and the Kenya Under 20 National Team. His star continues to shine day after day.
