Comedian Eric Omondi has dared KFCB Boss Ezekiel Mutua never to mention his name again, adding that he (Mutua) is just a guy seeking attention with people’s names.
Eric was speaking to The Trend’s Amina Abdi in an interview on NTV when he said this. He was responding to Ezekiel Mutua’s earlier criticism over a video he had posted some days ago.
The comedian posted a video of himself in a boxer, something that did not go well with the self-proclaimed moral cop. He went to his Twitter channel questioning the video and a series of other photos that Eric had shared earlier.
“Eric Omondi is, without a doubt, one of Africa’s greatest talents and Kenyan’s best. But he needs to respect himself and obey the law. Let him use his talents to promote positive social values. Youths who follow him must not think that good comedy is nudity or vulgarity!” Mutua had tweeted.
Eric Omondi replied to him blasting him for being petty, fast to condemn and not helpful.
“So you flew all the way to Mombasa to do this Press conference, hiyo Pesa ungenipatia niongeze nazo Cameras Kwa Studio zangu so that we shoot more videos for young talented Kenyans,” Eric Omondi wrote.
This is not the first time Ezekiel Mutua and Eric Omondi have crossed paths. Rather, it’s the fourth time, according to Eric Omondi and he now says it should be the last time Dr. Ezekiel mentions his name.
Speaking to Amina Abdi on 28/11/2020, Eric Omondi accused Ezekiel Mutua of only coming out to rebuke people when they do wrong. That he has never encouraged people when they do anything right.
He only condemns
“I went to the US and I have won the best comedian twice, Dr Ezekiel Mutua saw that and did not comment. Sauti Sol went to South Africa and won the Mama Awards, Dr Ezekiel saw that and didn’t comment until they did Nishike and then he opened his mouth and said this is immoral. A month after Sol won the award…He is an attention seeker. He is a publicity stunt guy” the comedian told Amina on the Trend.
When asked what is his response to the KFCB Boss is, Eric now says that Dr Mutua should never mention his name again. He adds that he presumes Dr Mutua wants to run for a political office, something that explains the recent “attacks” on him. He has further dared him to run for any political seat!
“I don’t know whether he wants to run for office and I am waiting for him, ajaribu ku run for senator, I will blast him…do not care who he is and what he says. I Told him, don’t ever use my name. Do not ever address me. This is your last time. And if tries to use that name Eric Omondi even positively, let him never mention my name again. And I will take issues with him and make sure he feels the pinch,” he dared him.
Eric Omondi confessed that the criticism by Dr Mutua really affected him and he was even shaking while typing the response. He also called him a clout chaser like Cardi B, something he, a government official, is not allowed to do.
“Ezekiel Mutua, if you ever want me to respect you, shake your hand and we be friends, kuja Eric Omondi Studios donate cameras. Do something positive. Encourage. Kuja hapo ona studios, post on your Twitter, tell young people to come and record. Let the whole world know that tuko na Eric Omondi Studios,” he said.
