The positions for clinical officers require applicants to hold a Diploma in Clinical Medicine & Surgery or Clinical Medicine & Community Health.

Registered Clinical Officers (9 Posts)

Requirements

  • Diploma in Clinical Medicine & Surgery or Clinical Medicine & Community Health.
  • Certificate of registration from the Clinical Officers’ Council.
  • Certificate in computer application skills


Duties and Responsibilities


i. Taking history, examining, diagnosing, and treating patients’ common ailments online;
ii. Implementing community health care activities in liaison with other health workers;
iii. Guiding and counseling patients, clients, and staff on health issues online;
iv. Sensitizing patients and clients on preventive and promotive health;
v. Referring patients and clients to appropriate health facilities;
vii. Providing clinical outreach and school health services;
viii. Carrying out minor surgical procedures as per training and skill;
ix. Collecting and compiling clinical data;
x. Assessing, preparing, and presenting medico-legal reports.

Pharmacist (1 Post)

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy degree
  • Completed a one-year internship.
  • Registration certificate by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
  • Certificate in computer skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

i. Screening prescriptions for legal validity, drug contraindications, drug interaction, appropriateness of dose, frequency and duration of dosing, and patience convenience;

ii. Preparing and dispensing medicines according to good dispensing practices and counseling patients on the use of medicine online.

iii. Making extemporaneous preparations;

iv. Participating in ward rounds;

v. Identify medicinal gaps and challenges;

vi. Maintaining a daily activity log book for recording all activities undertaken;

vii. Recommending Over the Counter (OTC) medicines to patients/clients with simple medical conditions and making necessary referrals;

viii. Making entries into the relevant inventory management records and registers.

Medical Officer (9 Posts)

  • Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery degree from an institution recognized by the Medical Practitioners and Dentist Board.
  • Completed a one-year internship at a recognized institution.
  • Registration license from the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
  • Certificate in computer skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

i. Diagnosing, caring and treating diseases online
ii. Performing medical and surgical procedures;
iii. Preparing and responding to emergencies and disasters; iv. Participating in the management of medicine, medical instruments, and equipment;
v. Providing health education;
vi. Maintaining health records, health information and data;
vii. Counselling patients and their relatives on diagnoses and bereavements;
viii. Teaching and coaching medical students, nursing students, and clinical officer interns;
ix. Preparing requisite documents for registration.


Terms of service:

3-year contract renewable on satisfactory performance.

Assistant Director Medical Services (1 Post)

  • Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery degree from an institution recognized by the Medical Practitioners and Dentist Board.
  • At least a minimum of three years of work experience preferably in telemedicine.
  • Registration license from the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
