Matasi Goalkeeper Hospitalized After Horrific Accident

Harambee Stars international goalkeeper Patrick Matasi is hospitalized after being involved in a fatal accident on the Kapsabet-Nakuru road at Lessos.

The former AFC Leopards shot-stopper is currently undergoing treatment at Kapsabet Hospital. He was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance, from Lessos clinic where he was first taken to after the car crash.

According to an eyewitness, Matasi lost control of the car with the tire bursting before rolling off the road.

He is now undergoing treatment at the hospital as reported by his relative Albert Mulanda.

“The car lost control and developed a tire burst then rolled over,” explained Albert Mulanda, adding that, Matasi was with his family and two brothers-in-law in the car.

Matasi’s wife who was also in the car together with their child has also suffered multiple injuries. The two have however been transferred from Kabsabet to Kakamega County Referral Hospital.
