Content creator and influencer Tabitha Gatwiri was pronounced dead on October 31st. Tabitha was a well-known content creator, and featured in The Real House Helps of Kawangware series.
Gatwiri, 29, was known for her realistic comedy skits, which she had shared on various social media platforms.
Cause of Death
Gatwiri’s family and friends confirmed that she passed on after a short illness. Her lifeless body was discovered in her house, which has since been moved to the KU Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary.
Police are still investigating the cause of the death even though she had complained of illness.

Gatwiri’s Life and Education
Raised in Isiolo County, she was the first born among her five siblings, three girls, and two boys.
She attended Kithoka Primary School in Meru County and later joined Bishop Lawi Imathiu Secondary School.
The late actress later enrolled at Kenyatta University for her university education. She studied Education but had no passion for the field and found herself in the creative world. She joined the Kenyatta University Travelling Theatre and transversed the country undertaking many roles.
Gatwiri would later drop out of university to concentrate on content creation. Her bid would bear fruit after several years when she was awarded the prestigious YouTube Award dubbed Silver Button or Plaque in 2021.
Fellow Creators Mourn Her
Her content creator family and influencers have joined hands in mourning the departed soul of their friend.
They took to social media to express their sadness and surprise with many describing her as a person with a lively persona.
Content creators visited the mortuary to pay their respects but were unable to view the body.
The creators, led by 2mbili, arrived when Gatwiri’s family had already left the mortuary. Out of respect for the family, the content creators decided not to insist on viewing the body and planned to visit some other day.
Others expressed their concerns over the increasing of sudden and unexplained deaths in the industry. They suggested the importance for people to grow closer to their faith.
